Upon further investigation, John realized that we were only about an hour and a half away from Rocky's house. I knew they had just gotten home from Washington and were getting ready for school to start but I called anyway.
Surprise Rocky... we are on our way! We let the boys swim in the pool for a few hours then we headed out.

Arrive in Encinitas, California

The boys were so excited to see their cousins.
We got to Rocky's, dropped off our stuff and immediately walked to the beach.
Short stop at 7-11.
Rocky is just a few short minutes from the beach. It was so pretty.
Rocky got a hold of the camera and we had a little photo shoot on the beach.
The water was so warm.
Making a sand castle.
They kids had so much fun and it was a beautiful day.
Uncle Austin met us later at the beach.
