Team Roy BBQ

Coby's basketball team got together for a team BBQ. It worked out perfect because it was right after Gunnar's party and at the same place. The boys played soccer, basketball, and football but what they did most of was...swim.
Coby and Zane were the first ones in the lake. Then the rest followed. It was a beautiful and warm day.Montrae, Jovi, and Jason Jr. taking their swim test.We are so lucky to be a part of the "Team Roy family". The boys are amazing and the families are incredible.

These boys are like brothers to Coby.We had lunch then the boys played another football game.

We were sorry not everyone could come but we had a blast.

Happy Birthday Gunn!

My baby turns 7! This year Gunnar had a plan for his birthday party. He wanted to have it at a park.
The problem with having a summer birthday is that you never know how many people will be able to attend because half of the people you invite are out of town. We always have his party at home but because he wanted to have it at a park he was able to invite as many people as he wanted. He was thrilled when so many people were able to be there for his big day.He had a Scooby Doo birthday...his favorite.
(He actually wanted Indiana Jones but we couldn't find it.)We had fruit and veggies and a ton of snacks. Gunnar didn't want a cake this year, he wanted cupcakes. Perfect for the park. I put a "7" candle in a cupcake, we sang Happy Birthday, he made a wish, then blew out the candle.Next up...PRESENTS!!Tyler may be the next Tony Hawk.

Owen, Ayden, Gunn, Brayden, and Luke
Gunnar was spoiled.

A little help from big brother.A big Thank You to everyone who came to his birthday party. He had so much fun with his friends and family.

Gunnar has truly been such an amazing child. He makes me laugh every day. Watching him grow up has been bittersweet. Each year that goes by I am happy to see him grow and mature but sad to see his chubby cheeks slim down and his baby voice sound old. He will always be my baby but soon he won't want me calling him that any more and it makes me sad. Soon he won't want to play with Batman and Hotwheels...then what will I do? It is all I have known for over 14 years. However, I bet it will be a while before my house is free from Lego's and G.I. Joe. I am going to enjoy every second of it while it lasts.

Gunnar is smart and artistic. Funny and cautious. He is a joy to be around and I love him with all my heart.

Happy Birthday Gunnar!

100 Monkeys

at the...Christina, Ruby, Jodi, and I were so excited to see the 100 Monkeys in concert. For me is was not so much for the music...though it was amazing...but it was more for this guy...Jackson Rathbone!!

You may recognize him as this guy...
Sokka from The Last Airbender.
Or maybe even this guy...Oh yes...Jasper Hale from Twilight.

He was so cute. He looks way better without the awful blond wig.
I must say I am in love. They were great entertainers.
We had so much fun. After the show we waited, and waited, and waited for the band to emerge from the building. They finally did. There were a few others that were crazy enough to wait as well and Jackson was kind enough to sign one autograph... for a little boy who had a Last Airbender book.

Thank you so much ladies. I had an incredible time and I can't wait to see him again...and again.

Clark Kids Night #12

I remember going to Vince's when we were little kids . They had the same bread sticks and butter back then. I remember fighting over the candle so I could melt the butter on my bread stick. I remember being so mad when someones butter dripped off their bread stick and put the flame out. It was ALWAYS Beau! So many memories at this restaurant.

Manchester Day 2 & 3

The sleeping tree...

John made a delicious breakfast.
*
Every morning (and night) Gunnar had to lie down while I put medicine in his ear. Then he had to stay there for 10 minutes.

Ady loved to play with Chance.
*
Izy in the dirt.

The Miles familyAfter breakfast we went exploring.Of course the boys, including JD, had to climb on the roof.It was a beautiful day!We found amazing sea creatures.

Ady and IzyAfter we left the beach we found this huge hill. Coby, Gunnar, and Izzy climbed to the top. There were some pieces of cardboard left on the ground so Chance thought he would try to slide down the hill...

Dinner time...Hot dogs

Every time I looked at Chance he had marshmallow all over his face.

Manchester Day 3

*

I woke up with this lovely creature above my head...

Time to pack up.

Before we left we went and played botchy ball (I think that is what it was called) and volleyball. It was so much fun. Until the sand got so hot we were afraid of getting blisters on our feet.
Gunnar, Izy, Alexis, Coby, and Tyler

We had such a wonderful time. Thank you guys for going with us. I can't wait until we do it again.
