Tiger

Gunnar went to his friend, Miranda's, birthday party. She is in his kindergarten class and also lives right down the street. I walked Gunnar down to her house but when he returned home he looked a lot different...Isn't this amazing? They hired a professional face painter. Gunnar LOVED it!Looking scary...admiring himself...aaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!Gunnar sat and stared at himself for quite some time.He was a wonderful tiger complete with sparkles and everything.You should have seen us try to get this stuff off. For a while there he looked like Adam Lambert. It appeared that he had gobs and gobs of black eyeliner. I was worried that he was going to have to go to school like this...Oh well, he had a great time at the party and loved looking like a tiger.

John and I were at Jenn and Erik's house playing games the other night. We started talking about Avatar and before we knew it (after Jenn called a babysitter and we frantically called theaters to find a showing that wasn't sold out) we found ourselves sitting in the theater. We had to wait about an hour in line to be sat so we had plenty of time to get ourselves acquainted to the 3D glasses.

Jenn and I were twins in our matching vests. We could only find a 10:20PM show that wasn't sold out. CRAZY!! The crazy thing is, John and I had already seen it but we hadn't see it in 3D. We both loved it the first time. In fact, as I was leaving the theater the first time I was already planning on seeing it again but in 3D. We really wanted to see it in IMAX but they were all...all...all sold out. With popcorn and candy in hand we headed into the theater.

Avatar is amazing. I was totally blown away...once again (especially in 3D).

There isn't another movie out there to compare Avatar to. I loved every bit of it. Truly, another world was created. I want to live on Pandora.

Go watch it! The hype is not unfounded.

Girls Day/Night

We really took advantage of Rocky's last day here. We shopped, ate, went to the movies shopped went to the movies again and ate...again.

We ate lunch at Vince's Italian Restaurant. We used to go here all the time growing up so we have a lot of fun memories eating here.The pizza is the BEST!!Teri met us at the theater.We then got nachos and a triple chocolate melt-down (my favorite) at Applebee's.I love it when Rocky comes to visit...however it is horrible when she has to leave. I wish she lived here. I miss her so much when she is in California. We miss our girls Riley and Jory, too. Move home...please!

New Years Eve '09

Gunnar was thrilled when Lucas asked him to come over and spend the night. I was thrilled when Rocky asked if Chance and Coby could come over for a New Years celebration. John was thrilled when Dan asked if we wanted to go to the Huskies game. Basically, we were all pretty thrilled.

We dropped Gunnar off at grandmas house to stay with Lucas... then we dropped the other two boys off with Rocky... then we headed to Seattle for some basketball.

I love going to the Huskies play. We played the Oregon State Beavers and it was a great game. Thank you Dan!! You're the BEST!!We won 76 to 70!

After the game we went to Bahama Breeze. I got the Jerk Chicken Pasta..."Sliced jerk chicken breast, fresh asparagus and mushrooms tossed in a rich parmesan-herb cream sauce with bow-tie pasta."

So good!! (I ordered it... minus the asparagus and mushrooms)

It was11:00ish when we were done. We decided to go get Chance and Coby and have the New Years countdown, together, at our house. They had already had their party with Rocky and their cousins.

Happy New Year!!

Self portrait time...Coby's first kiss of 2010...We each said a few words and toasted to the New Year! We missed Gunnar but we had so much fun (I am sure he had a blast with Lucas). I love my family.

Just Dance

The boys were so happy to have Riley and Jory over. We played games...acted silly...
and played the Wii...
The girls brought over a game called Just Dance and we boogied all night.

Until bedtime and ...Mall Cop...so funny.

Clark Kids Night #9

With Rocky in town we decided to have another sibling night. We made our way to Acme Bowl in Tukwila. We had to wait 30 minutes for a lane to open up so we played a few games in the arcade while we waited.

Romi and Ian played air hockey...Rocky and Beau played basketball and Rocky tried the Wheel of Fortune... (for the life of me I can't remember what this game is called...help me out.)

Ian and I played Guitar Hero.

I really thought I was going to win but I didn't he totally beat me. I don't ROCK as much as I thought.We had so much fun and were almost sad when our lane was ready.

Beau got the first strike of the evening.

We played 5 games total and we split up in teams each time. The first game the girls won and the second game Romi and Ian beat me, Rocky and Beau.

Romi, Beau and Rocky won the third game.

Afer a while we started getting tired and I think we lost track.Our last game we each tried for our own individual best score. I started the first game of the night with a score of 122 (I beat everybody) but I got worse and worse as the night progressed. My last game was awful (I don't even know what happened). Romi and Ian were competing for all around high scorer. You can tell from the picture below who won...

Romi was #1 We tried to get a picture with all 5 of us. First we cut off Beau's head...then we cut off my face... Finally we broke down and asked someone to take our picture.

I love these beautiful people.

I feel so lucky to have such remarkable brothers and sisters. I know them better now then I ever did and I can't begin to tell you how wonderful they are. We are all so different but somehow the same. I can't explain it.
