Shootout

Coby had another 3 on 3 basketball tournament in Kent. This time he played with the big 8th graders...

Federal Way And 1

They played awesome!

Coby's devoted fans!!
Auntie Romi and Grandma
After Coby's team was out of the tournament he played with his very own Team Roy.

When we signed up for the tournament we didn't know Team Roy was going to be in it so Coby signed up with another team.
It worked out great because he got to play with some big boys in 8th grade but also got to play with is own team.
He had a great time and played well.

3-on-3 Snoqualmie

This was Chance's first 3-on-3 tournament. He was so excited.
The problem was that were playing against seniors. Not so fun.

They lost every game but they played their hearts out. What more could you ask for?
Chance, Ben, Taylor, and Carsten
Waiting for the next game.Coby's team played against big kids as well.

One guy was literally 6 feet tall. It was humorous actually.

They won their first few games but eventually had to be in a shootout to see who would get to play in the next game. They were up against older and bigger kids. Whichever team made the most free throws would proceed to the next round. How nerve racking for little boys.
Each of the boys stepped up to the line. I was so scared when it was Coby's turn. In the end our team one by one shot. Coby made both of his free throws...thank goodness.
They didn't make it to the championships but the played great.
Good job Chance and Coby!

HoopFest Day 2

Fusion had a rematch with the team that beat them the day before. We killed 'em!! Chance finally found something fun to do...keep score.John's team had their final game and lost. But, again, they played college guys. Not fair. They were supposed to be in a bracket with old guys. Oh well. At least hey had fun (I think).
Nice shot Chance!Romi and John watching the boys battle their way through the losers bracket. These boys fought and fought their way up. Believe it or not they made it all the way to the championships. Unfortunately, after playing about 7 games in one day they lost in the finals. They played amazingly well for playing so many games. The only games they lost were the very first one and the last one against the champions. They were so sad that they lost after playing so well. But come on...they were finalists.
Good job team Fusion!!Sophie and Audry came in 5th. Way to go girls.A picture to prove I was there. All of our players who participated in HoopFest this year.
Yay Team Fusion!!Coby was so happy Grandma and Grandpa came.

We can't wait until next year!

Next stop...Silverwood!

Hoopfest 2010

Coach Dan and the boys.
Tommy, Coby, (Chi is behind Dan), and CJThe boys played great but lost their first game which meant they had to win a ton of games to make it to the championships. Fans!EJ, Charlie, Scott, and John John's team played against a team of college guys. Not quite fair.
They lost but played their hearts out.
Sophie had an amazing team! And all poor Chance got to do was shoot hoops.

Lucas and Gunnar

It was a very hot day. After a million games, and running back and forth, we finally got a short break.
After the boys first lost they had win after win.John's team had another game. This was Chi and Coby's expression after John made a shot...It was hilarious! Needless to say, they were shocked. Unfortunately, they lost but it was a very close game. John is great at defense!
I think this would be considered a foul Coby. Good thing this is street ball or we would have heard a whistle. The team was so tired, hot and dirty after a long day of basketball. The last game we watched was Uncle Dan's. He is a great basketball player and Coby loves watching his coach play. They won!

It was a long day but we had so much fun.
