Merry Christmas!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that Saint Nicolas soon would be there. And he came... Gunnar's Bat Cave, Coby's DC shoes that also came with a DC hoody and a DC beany with a brim. Chance asked for guitar strings and picks. He knew he wouldn't actually get a guitar...boy was he wrong. He must have been a good boy because his strings and picks came with a "Flying V" guitar as well. Lucky boy!

This year we opened our presents one at a time. Youngest to oldest. Gunnar got to go first.
He loved his presents from grandma and pa Martineau. His favorite were these tops that you
attach to a device, push a button and they spin really, really fast.

Coby has really gotten into WWE this year. He asked for a bunch of WWE clothes and he got a ton. His favorite guy is John Cena. He got John Cena pajamas and this awesome shirt...(I don't know if you can tell but try to notice what John Cena is doing on the shirt). That is why Coby's hand is in front of his face.I don't know what this is all about but he has this signature "hand move". Way to cool. Grandma spoiled the boys this year. Coby was super excited.

Grandma doesn't know this but just last week Chance was telling me how there were sequels to one of his favorite books. The book is called My Body Fell Off by BJ Rowley. Grandma Martineau got it for him for his birthday one year (I think it was his birthday). He loved it so much that he looked it up on the Internet and found out there were 2 or 3 more books that follow the original. He was so excited that he wanted me to go out right away and buy him the next one. I told him I would. Well guess what...grandma Martineau got him book 2. It is called Silver Hawk's Revenge. (I am excited too because Chance has been trying to get me to read the first one and I kept putting it off. I started reading it about 5 days ago. Now I won't have to wait to read book 2...YAY!!) He is very excited to start. It is by his bed and ready to go.

I love giving Christmas presents. This year I was especially excited to give one certain gift. Most of you know Chance is super obsessed with Buckethead. He told me about a month ago that he was really mad that he missed seeing Buckethead in concert a few weeks beforehand. He told me he was in Spokane and we missed him. I felt bad but wouldn't have wanted to go to Spokane for Buckethead anyway. Well I did a little research 2 months ago and found out Buckethead was going to be in Seattle. I couldn't wait to get him tickets. I knew he was probably going to have to wait a few months after Christmas to see him but I knew he wouldn't have cared. Well, come to find out he will be here on December 31st, just 5 days from the time I am writing this. I wanted it to be a HUGE surprise. I was hoping he wouldn't even find out that Buckethead was going to be in town. I was so excited for Chance to open the tickets. We made him wait until his very last gift. We wrapped it in a big box so he would have no idea what it was. He opened it and was shocked. He fell to the ground. I think he started crying because he stayed on the ground with his face hid from us for quite a long time. He finally composed himself got up and starting jumping up and down. It was priceless. I filmed it but I can't figure out how to put videos on my blog. Darn.Have fun Chance and John!I was next. I got spoiled. I got a new camera and a lot of other awesome things. Gunnar made me this wonderful drawing of The Grinch. John and Gunnar picked out this beautiful pink robe with matching pink slippers. It is so soft. Johns mom also got me this makeup kit. Look how many colors...I LOVE IT!!

Thank you!

John was last. I got him some screwdrivers, clothes, etc.

John got a book from his parents.

We also got this beautiful book...It is called An Uncommon Common Pioneer, The Journals of James Henry Martineau
1828-1918.
This is what was written in the inside cover...I can't wait to start reading it.

John's favorite...Almond Roca.Axle got a Snowman toy that was in pieces a few minutes after we gave it to him.

We want to thank our Grandma and Grandpa Martineau. We love you so much. What a great Christmas morning.
