We Are The Champions

Coby had his championship game on Tuesday night. We knew it was going to be a tough game. We didn't make the championships last year because this same team beat us, so they moved on to the championships. Coby was so nervous. He really wanted to win. They only lost one game during the regular season so he was hoping to go out with a bang.

Coby played an amazing game. I usually write down all of his stats but I was so nervous that I couldn't. He had about 4 baskets and a bunch of steals and blocks. Malachi was playing on the court next to us for his championship game so I was watching both of the games at the same time.

We did it...WE WON!!

It was close the entire game. At one point we were down by six points. I almost had a heart attack.

Coby had a great season. He is an amazing basketball player. Coby with Coach Rick.They got a team trophy and individual awards.

Coby has already started practices with his next team. The Celtics were through the Boys and Girls Club and he is now going to be on a team with Malachi through Norpoint. Uncle Dan is coaching. Coby is so excited. He has had a bunch of practices already. This new team has been together for a long time and they all know each other so Coby is "the new kid". Like I said before, Malachi's team was playing in the very next court. The kids from that team make up the new team Coby will be playing with. They won their championship game, as well. They won by 2 points. It, also, was a great game. Coby was still playing after Chi's team was done so allll of the players came to watch Coby and cheer on the team. It was so nice. After Coby's team won all of the boys ran onto the court jumping and cheering. They all gave Coby 5 and told him congratulations. It was so nice. I cried. It was just so wonderful to see all those boys being so supportive. We are so excited to be on such a great team and Dan is the best coach I have ever seen. Coby is very lucky to be on the team with his cousin. It is going to be a fun season.
