Coby has been wanting to play football for about two years. I have never let him...until now. He is super excited. He is playing for the Bellarmine Lions in Tacoma.
Coby knows he looks so awesome in his "practice uniform".
He practices Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 6-8 PM.

I went to his practice and now I know why I wouldn't let him play. It is awful They were practicing tackle drills and I almost had a heart attack. I thought I was going to cry. They hit each other soooo hard. Now, I have watched football my entire life and I know what it is all about but I never knew they would be hitting this hard at 10 years old. As I was watching, about three kids came off the field crying. Coby had to ice his shoulder yesterday. I am not so sure about this sport. Of course he loves it.

If I ever have a boy I think football is the one sports I really would not want to get him into. That sport has the most injuries, but I guess if they enjoy it then there is nothing you can really do. He does look great in his practice jersey and pads though, you'll have to let us know when he has a game and we'll cheer him on.
Um ya- scary!!!! He looks so cute though in that helmet- I'm sure that's exactly what he'd want to hear also!!! So fun!
