On My Birth Day

I was thinking about my birthday and realized that 33 (gulp) years ago on this very day my mom was in labor and about ready to have her third girl. I am so grateful for her. She is an amazing woman and everything I am today I owe to her. She gave me a wonderful childhood full of tremendous memories that I will have with me for the rest of my life (well at least until I get Alzheimer's; which seems to be just around the corner). But her parenting didn't stop there. Every day for 33 years she has made my life a better place. Even when I was a punk teenager (and adult for that matter) she was there for me and loving me. Though it would have been extremely difficult at times. Sorry about that mom. It is incredible to know that there is always someone there to pick me up when I fall even after she has already done her job and taught me to walk. So today I want to thank you mom for continuing to be by my side 33 years later. Can you believe I am that OLD?? I can't.
