Girls Night

Every year my mom buys me, Romi, and Sophie tickets to the Pacific Ballroom Dance concert. This year was no different. We went out to dinner and then to the show. It was really good. We all have people in our ward that perform so it is fun to go and watch all of their dances.

Thank you mom for such a fun night. I always look forward to this because I have such a great time with you guys. We always wind up laughing hysterically about one thing or another. I love it!

They had a great show this year.

GREASE...is the word!

John and Dan got me and Romi Grease tickets for Mother's Day.
The big day had arrived and we were so excited.

Our first stop was The Cheesecake Factory.

The men got some delicious drinks.

FROZEN ICED MANGO

Mango, Tropical Juices and a Hint of Coconut Blended with Ice and Swirled with Raspberry Puree

Then it was time for the show.

Taylor Hicks played the "Teen Angel".

Can you tell I was a little excited for the show to start?

It was soooo good. I loved every minute of it! It was a little difficult to refrain from belting out the songs though. We had wonderful seats. Thank you so much Dan.

What a wonderful evening.

Pre-Kindergarten Graduation

Isabelle, Aubrey, Paige, Gunnar, and Lucas

The class
Dustin, Isabelle, Aubrey, Paige, Tyler, Tanner, Gunnar, Lucas, Carson, and Cole Congratulations Gunnar! We love you Miss RomiMiss Romi's Little School
Gunnar loves Paige...and so does cousin Lucas. Uh-Oh!!

I can't believe that my "baby" is all done with preschool. He is such a big boy. He'll be a kindergartner next year. Can that really be true? I can't believe it. I also can't believe that Gunnar was my last child to go through Miss Romi's school. There are no words that can express my gratitude to my sister for teaching all three of my children everything they need to know before they were pushed out into the real world and public schools. She is THE BEST teacher in the entire world (and, I promise, I am not just saying this because she is my sister. You can ask anyone who has ever been in her class). She taught my children, not only their ABC's and 123's but she taught them to love learning. She gave them something I NEVER could and for that I will forever and ever be grateful. She has given each of them confidence in all they do. She has taught them how to be respectful and courteous to those around them. She taught them their colors and their shapes, there, letters and their numbers, how to spell and write their name, how to share and follow directions, how to count and add and subtract. She taught them how to rhyme and read. The list is absolutely endless. For all of these things and many, many more THANK YOU so much Miss Romi.

The Wind Through Gunnar's Hair

As soon as Gunnar gets in the car he rolls down the window and sticks out his head. As long as it isn't raining you will find him like this.
Man, I love this kid.
His hair started out flat on his head but after a few minutes it looked like this...An automatic spike. And I didn't even have to use gel. Fabulous!

Catcher

Gunnar got to suit up in the catcher's gear last game.

He was so cute. I was standing behind him so he would turn around and just smile.
He had the important job of putting the ball back on the tee.He had a few great outs at home plate.I think his head started getting heavy because of the mask. He could barely hold it up the last few minutes of the inning.Way to go catch!

Team Captain

T-ball is hard because unless you are in the in field you don't get to touch the ball. Gunnar hadn't played "pitcher" yet. So when it was finally his turn he was very excited. He got to be captain of the team last week. This meant that he got to be on the mound for the Little League pledge, he got to be in the pitcher position, he got to bring snacks and he got the game ball.
Very exciting stuff.
This was a big game for Gunnar.

He did awesome. He almost caught the ball once as you can see in the video below.

Every time the ball came to him he did exactly what he was supposed to. He picked it up and threw in to first base.

Good job Gunnar you were fun to watch. We are so proud of our t-ball star.

Go Panthers

On their way to the last "battle".
Willie and Eric in the back seat. Zekhi, Coby, Zakhari, and kissing Isaiah. The boys were defeated in their last game. Again, they lost by (I think) 3 or 4. It was, by this point, devastating. They lost every single one of their games. The sad thing is, they shouldn't have. They were a lot better than a lot of the teams they faced. I don't know what happened. We have one more tournament in Portland. Hopefully that will go better. After the boys were done with all of their games I thought we were going to start our 3 hour drive home. I was wrong. The high school Panthers were still in the championships and so we went and watched their semi-final game. They WON!! So we stayed and watched the championship game. The were victorious and won the entire tournament. It was very exciting to watch and it was cute because they let our little boys sit on the bench with them. They had the same exact uniforms. By this time Gunnar was tired of all of the toys he brought and he had already watched all of his movies. Thank goodness he found a friend.
All in all the boys had a fun time and the weekend ended well with the older Panthers winning the championships.
Maybe we will in Portland. I'll cross my fingers.

Old Country Buffet

The boys were so bummed that the coach took every single one out to dinner.
Coby had never been to Old Country Buffet and he loved it.

Thanks Coach Eric!!

Day 2 Continued...

Once again the boys started out great...But soon, they were falling apart.
This sum's up the entire game...
Actually, it sum's up the entire tournament. Nothing would fall and in the end we LOST... again. Poor kids. They were trying so hard and they just couldn't win. They are a wonderful team full of extremely talented kids but they couldn't get it together. Not to mention the referee's were the absolute WORST I have ever seen.
