Egg Drop 2010

Mrs. Sharp and Principal Blix getting ready for the big drop. Look out below...Gunnar was a little nervous.

There were a few casualties before we even made it back to class. SPLAT!!
Oh No!!
(Don't tell him this but I think he may have broke it while he was getting it out. He was not very gentle because he was so excited. Poor baby.)His egg didn't make it this year. He was pretty bummed out but he's excited to try something different next year. Gunnar cut a Nerf football in half (almost), took out some of the filling, wrapped his egg in bubble wrap, then put the stuffing back in. I thought for sure his egg would make it.
He was already telling me what we should have done differently. I let him do everything totally by himself (except for the cutting). I thought he might cry but he had a good attitude about it.

Next up...Coby's egg. He did the same thing as Gunnar, just with a basketball instead.
His friends cheering him on.
Jack, Drew, and "girlfriend" Malia
Let's see Coby... YIPPEE!!

His egg made it.
He got to mark it on the board. He was thrilled.
I went back to Gunnar's class to help out and his friend Miranda was crying because she was so happy that her egg made it. But then, she dropped it on the floor. Poor girl she cried the rest of the school day.

The boys had a great time with their projects this year. I wonder what they will do next year?!?

teriyaki and menchie's

John had the great idea of going out to dinner the other night. Chance was at his friends house so it was just me, John, Coby and Gunnar. He has wanted to get teriyaki for a long time but I don't like it so he never gets to eat it if I'm around. Well, I wasn't that hungry so I said we could go. He was so happy and so was Coby. Coby loves it as well. However, Gunnar felt the same way about it that I did...He was not happy about it until he ate a few of these "yummy little meat stuffed in a weird shell thingies". He was a little bit happier after a few of those. And come to find out, teriyaki isn't half bad. I actually liked it. Go figure.
Aunt Romi took the boys to a yogurt place called menchie's. They have been begging us to go ever since. Gunnar was such a good sport about the teriyaki that we said we could go after dinner.
Step 1: pick your flavor
John and Coby couldn't decide what flavor of yogurt to get. They have so many different kinds.
Step 2: choose your toppings
they have so many different toppings that it is almost overwhelming. Gunnar couldn't decide between rainbow or chocolate sprinkles. In the end he went with both.Coby went with sour gummy worms, kiwi, and strawberries. John decided to go with hot fudge, butterfinger bits and...oh, I can't remember. Let me just say that he literally had a stomach ache afterwards...to many toppings.
Step 3: weigh your yogurt

Step 4: pay and enjoy!I went with cake batter yogurt and strawberry topping.

YUM!
If you have never been...GO!! It is delicious.

Clark Kids Night #11

We planned our night out and then realized..last minute...that Ian wasn't going to be able to join until about 9:00PM . We decided to go ahead and go out to eat, catch a movie, then meet up with him later. We started out night at Applebee's.We had an awesome server but Beau said he was only going to leave her a $1.00 tip. He apparently thought it was pretty funny...Romi convinced him to leave more but she wanted him to show her he wasn't only leaving a lousy buck. So he left two lousy bucks.
Seeeee? We had a total fiasco at the theater. About half an hour into the movie the sound completely goes off. The movie is running but we can't hear anything. I get up to go tell someone and 15 minutes later we decide to leave. They can't rewind it and we have already missed a ton of the movie. Long, long, long story short...after speaking with multiple rude managers and employee's we finally get our $10 back and a coupon for another movie.
Stupid Regal. I'm sticking with Century from now on.
The good thing was we were able to meet up with Ian...back at Applebee's for dessert. (Don't worry we went to a different one.)
Hey Romi and Beau? How is your dessert?I thought Ian and I actually looked like we may be related in this picture. Romi and Beau let me know I was wrong. What do you think?

I could never explain to you how happy I am to have these guys in my life. They are

THE BEST...EVER!!

Love you!

Easter @ Grandma's

Coby, Chance, Malachi,
Sophie, Piper, Gunnar, Isaiah, and LucasGunnar asking Uncle Dan if he would like some Pixie Stix...Every holiday we never fail to get a picture of Dan like this...SistersBrothersReady for the hunt? This year my mom had the big kids help out the little kids. Malachi was helping Isaiah, Chance was helping Gunnar,
Sophie was helping Piper...and Coby was helping Lucas.I love the fact that you can see Beau and Melissa on the sidelines with their cameras/video cameras...so dang cute.Piper thinking really hard,
"hmmmmmm, where can I find my next egg?"

Got it!!

This year all of the eggs were filled with $$money$$.

(The funny thig is, Grandma put money in the eggs, mainly for the big kids...but guess who made the most money in the end? The very youngest grandchild...PIPER!)

John was helping Gunnar count his.

After the big kids helped the little ones they got to hunt for eggs themselves. Grandpa wanted to see if Chance's hands were bigger than his...YEP! Way bigger than grandma's.Malachi "going in" for the tickle fest.Sophie is getting so old and she is as beautiful as ever. I love her!Coby trying to stand up to grandpa...It didn't work out to well for him. Grandpa can still take him.The people responsible for all of this craziness... My amazing parents.

We had a great Easter. I have the best family in the world. We are so lucky!
