Testing the lights...

Half of our lights didn't work this year...so frustrating.

Coby purchased a Seahawks Santa hat for himself this year. He "HAD" to have one. He actually wears it everyday to school.
I guess it has been worth the $14.99.

Chance loves this part of the Christmas season. Usually we play Christmas music and light a fire. This year, however, Chance and I were vetoed because some sort of game was on and Coby and John "needed" to watch it. It was still very fun and Chance, once again, loved every second of it.

For the first time...ever...I had to ask Chance if he could reach the top of the tree for me. It was so weird. I have to admit I got a little choked up.

Especially when the next ornament he pulled out of the box was this one...Chance's very first Christmas ornament from 1996.

John and I still have our very first Christmas ornament. It is a silver ball that we wrote "Our 1st Christmas" with a sharpie (classy, I know). I am not sure how much longer it is going to stick around. It is totally tarnished and all of the other balls that came in this pack have been gone for years. We shall see.

Every year we put it on the tree together. O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree...
