tyler and gunn

The other night we went over the the Miles for dinner. After dinner Erik made delicious oatmeal cookies. Gunnar was more than happy to share his cookie with Tyler.

Tyler was happy too. We miss not seeing Tyler every day. Gunnar talks about him all the time. He still calls Ty "his baby".

Between me, John, Chance, Coby, and Gunnar I think we ate about 102 cookies. They were so good. Gunnar loved them so much that he asked Erik to write down the recipe for him. He wanted me to make them as soon as I got home.

Gunnar was so excited when he came home from school and Tyler was still at our house. He loves Tyler so much. They sat and played the entire day.
We were trying to figure out what Tyler was grabbing for on Gunnar's face until he finally got it...his eyelashes. He was trying forever to grab those suckers.
Gunnar was laughing hysterically. I think it was tickling him. So cute!!Get him Ty...

Tyler Turns One!

Some of you may ask... do you know Tyler isn't your son? To this my answer is...yes. However, I love him just like he is. He is such a huge part of my life that I couldn't exclude his "BIG DAY" from my blog. You can't have to many people love you...right?

He was so cute. He didn't go crazy but he definitely loved it. I don't think he was to happy when his parents took it away. HA!

I want you to know, Tyler, that I love with with all my heart. You are such a sweet, easygoing little man. You make everyone around you smile. You light up my house every time you are here and I couldn't imagine my life without your sweet spirit. I can't believe it has been a year since I first met you. I can't wait to see what the next year will bring you.

He is getting so old. I can't believe he will be 1 in just a few months. I love him.

Tyler is getting so big. He is talking and laughing all the time. He is the sweetest, happiest, friendliest, little guy I know. Isn't he beautiful?

We are lucky that we get to spend so much time with Tyler.

The boys are having a blast helping me take care of him.

Gunnar got a little "Doctor Kit" that he had been using on all of his stuffed animals. He was so excited to try it out on a real baby.

Tyler had a great heartbeat.

He did need one shot, however.

He was a trooper and didn't even cry. He did have to bite his hand to stifle a slight scream.

I took a dozen pictures of Tyler today (imagine that). This one was my favorite...I think. He is so cute it is hard to choose.

Gunn and Ty

Gunnar doesn't ask that often to hold Tyler but when he does he finds it necessary to have his picture taken. I am glad because they look so handsome.
Tyler is such a sweetheart and we love having him in our home. We feel very blessed to have him in our lives.
I was originally concerned (a tiny bit) that Gunnar wouldn't like having the competition of my attention with a new baby coming over a few days a week but...I couldn't have been more wrong. Gunnar loves Tyler and has never once acted frustrated or irritated when he is over.

We had gorgeous baby Tyler last week and gunnar wanted to have a baby of his own in the Baby Bjorn...

Chance and Ty

Chance was so excited that "he" was going to get to watch Tyler during his Spring Break. He saw me with the Baby Bjorn on (thank you Deon) and wanted to try it out immediately.Tyler is so cute and has the most amazing eyes.When I was holding Tyler in it he was happy and awake. As soon as Chance put it on he got tired and fell asleep right away.
Chance was in heaven.
...and I think Tyler was, too.

3 Boys and a Little Baby

The boys were so excited to meet Tyler on Monday.

Gunnar had been asking me every single day... "when do I get to hold Baby Tyler?"

He held him for about 2 seconds and he was done. I guess that was all he needed.
Coby was so excited he couldn't help himself from smiling.

Chance LOVES babies. He can hold them forever and ever. He is going to be a great dad.

Gunnar had to hold him one last time before we left.On the way home from Jenn's house Chance said, "mom, when do we get to see him again"?

They already love him dearly.
