I passed the "Purple List"

We are so proud of Gunnar. He has been practicing for months and months to pass "The Purple List". Gunnar has different sets of word lists that he has to practice, memorize/read, and pass. The lists of words get harder and harder. The purple list is the first set. Today...he passed!!
The list consists of these words:
the
and
a
has
me
is
I
it
on
see
can
not
am
to
look
an

The next list is "The Pink List":

do, like, you, was, up, if, that, will, get, be, for, go, did, with, off, had, at, in, said (are you kidding me?), and, my.

This may take a while.

Good job Gunnar!! You worked so hard and we are very proud of you.

Is that a tooth?

The other day we noticed that Gunnar had a permanent tooth growing in behind his left, bottom baby tooth. We felt his tooth to make sure it was loose...it wasn't loose at all. John had been working with it trying to make it wiggle and it doesn't seem to be working. The permanent tooth is making it so we can't get the baby tooth to move. As soon as we get some movement at all he wakes up the next morning and any progress that was made the night before is gone because the bigger tooth has moved its way up. I am not sure what to do.

John worked with it forever yesterday. Poor Gunnar was in pain after a while so he had to stop but it really didn't seem to do any good anyway. John was pulling and tugging but to no avail.
I am going to have to call the dentist today and see what he suggests.

Side note: Coby was jumping on a trampoline at his friend house this weekend and chipped his front tooth. Fortunatley, it was straight across on the very bottom so you really can't tell except there is a tiny part of it that remained. I guess I will have to ask the dentist about that, as well. UGH!! Mind you, we have spent about $3000.00 on Coby's teeth and now this?

HOMEWORK...UGH!!

7th grade is hard work. Chance got home at 3:00. He grabbed a quick snack and started his homework. He had Spanish, Social Studies, and Language Arts. He is finally on his last assignment. He is writing a story and it is taking him a long time. Good thing he didn't have baseball practice tonight or he would have been in big trouble.
Please notice the time...

He has been doing homework for almost 4 hours.
I'm not looking forward to 8th grade.

Gray Day

Monday was gray day...the last "color day" of the year.
Gunnar wanted to go all out so he dressed head to toe (OK...ankle) in gray. His undershirt was even gray. He didn't have any gray shoes...darn!!
Beautiful S's Gunnar!
This was his snail and "conjoined" snake.
